Funny Friday

We stayed with Andy's family for a few days over Christmas, and the first day there, this was Keandre's exciting discovery.  A toddler's dream!  We were amazed that he didn't end up hanging upside-down or swinging his way out.  He could lift his feet up to the bar he was hanging from!

January Kids' Quotes

Keandre: 
"Mommy, please give me too much?" (aka: a lot)
Sitting on potty, with eyes tightly shut: "Mommy, please come, I'm done!  Hey....you found me!"
"Granny was there, y Papa, y Devin, y...."  (who has been teaching this child Spanish?!" LOL)

Destany:
"Mommy, can I trade you pillows?  This one is too chubby."

A New Year

Sometimes you just need to start over....

The last year has been full of changes, challenges, and growing in faith. During this time God walked us through a full year of unemployment. We transitioned from a family of 7 to a family of 5 again. We began home schooling more formally. We were blessed with opportunities to walk alongside our children's birthfamilies as they faced difficult challenges of their own. We began searching for a new church home. And we began the journey of trusting God as we grow our family once again. 

Sometimes it all felt too heavy to even think of blogging about.  But it's a new year, and we feel inspired to make this new blog a part of our new year.  We are learning so much, and feel so blessed to have had God's guidance, comfort, and daily presence in all of this.  More than ever, we know He has a plan for us!
